Initially made for Ill-Studio’s first solo exhibition in Paris, this sculpture made of plaster represents a pair of Nike TN. The Nike TN is a very popular shoe of the French youth culture from the 2000s, and it is here presented as seen by future archaeologists finding a vestige of our modern civilisation.
To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Carhartt WIP invited Ill-Studio to imagine and curate an exhibition about the past, present and future of the brand. Rather than using a chronological approach, Ill-Studio imagined a giant installation at St Agnes in Berlin, a brutalist church turned art gallery.
The exhibition was a mix of iconic pieces of the brand’s history together with curated cultural artefacts and new works made specially for the occasion.

Ill-Studio was appointed to design the footwear and music departments of the fashion store Boontheshop in Seoul in 2016.
Originally designed by Peter Marino, the renewal of both spaces was based on the idea of making different generic environments collide : recording studios, gymnasiums, laboratories, construction sites.
